These Community Guidelines apply to all platform users, including renters, property owners, real estate agents, and administrators. Our goal is to replace offline friction, high broker fees, and unreliable rental practices with a secure, digitally verified housing ecosystem.
By using the platform, you agree to uphold these standards. Violating these guidelines may result in warnings, listing removals, ratings penalties, or permanent account termination.
2. Core Listing Rules for Landlords
To maintain marketplace integrity, all property owners must adhere to the following rules:
- Truthful Listing details: Photos, pricing, dimensions, utility billing details, and locations must reflect the actual property. Bait-and-switch listings are strictly prohibited.
- Ownership Verification: Owners must cooperate with our verification desk and upload deeds or holding taxes to obtain the verified badge.
- Duplicate Listings: Posting the same property multiple times under different descriptions is prohibited. Duplicates will be removed automatically.
3. Code of Conduct for Communication
We encourage direct, clear, and polite communication between tenants and property managers. All communication on the platform must be free from:
- Off-Platform Demands: Landlords requesting payment or side agreements outside the secure escrow checkout violate our terms. Doing so leaves both parties unprotected and results in penalties.
- Harassment and Discrimination: Refusing tenants based on religion, ethnicity, gender, or marital status is unacceptable. All interactions must be professional.
- Spam: Sending commercial ads or unsolicited offers via the chat system is prohibited.
4. Reporting Guidelines and Abuse
If you encounter a listing that appears fake, or a user who demands off-platform cash deposits, please report it immediately:
- Use the **Report Abuse** portal link to submit the Property ID and a description of the issue.
- Email our compliance desk directly at `security@bariportal.com` for urgent safety concerns.
